Our Director of Programming, Chi Johnson, had the pleasure of moderating the Kickback discussion with The Home Depot’s Untika Grusz, manager - Advertising Operations and Latoya Vezia, senior manager – Paid Media. BMAA sat down to discuss the company's Diversity and Inclusion efforts, open roles and what it’s like to work on their marketing teams.
As the conversation began and progressed with both Untika and Latoya, they first touched on how they loved the fact that The Home Depot is a very diverse as well as an inclusive company. Untika even stated that, “This is the most diverse company she has worked for.” Latoya expressed, “That balance, respect and representation at all levels has a seat at the table.” The Home Depot has inclusion programs such as AAPulse (For African American Professionals), Limitless, Military Appreciation Group, THD Pride and Women’s Link just to name a few. We loved to hear the enthusiasm The Home Depot has with their associates.
After discussing The Home Depot’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, Untika and Latoya had the opportunity to dive into the growth of two marketing teams: Media Planning and Buying and Retail Media+ which are part of The Home Depot’s Integrated Media department. The Media Planning and Buying team focuses on delivering the right message, on the right channel, at the right moment to each of their customers. Retail Media+ provides brands turn-key full funnel marketing opportunities to reach audiences in new ways with performance to prove their investment. Marketers on this team help elevate brands to lift sales and set them apart from competitors.
