Jasmine Farooq
Born and raised in South Florida, Jasmine Farooq is a brand strategist and cultural advocate who brings light bulb truths to the table to inspire authenticity in work. She graduated from Florida State University Magna Cum Laude, earning a BS in Information Technology and a minor in Statistics.
Jasmine focused her career in Advertising after joining 4A’s MAIP and landing the role as Lead Strategist of Florida State's Competitive Advertising team. She was 1 of 5 distinguished MAIP fellows to win the Sheldon J. Levy Award for embodying the characteristics that made Levy an industry legend: personable, passionate, collaborative, and a leader.
Today, she is an Associate Brand Strategist at 22squared where she works across multiple clients while also serving as an intern coach and working with 22's D&I Council to create D&I thought-leadership briefs. Prided on being people-first, she also contributes to the development of cultural deep dive presentations that speak to the nuances of audiences.
Jasmine hopes that one day she’ll get the opportunity to work on a campaign that speaks authentically to caribbean culture within the US. When her work laptop is closed, you can find her eating oxtail at her family’s Jamaican restaurant in Miami, thrift shopping, or roaming the aisles of Publix repeating her daily mantra, “I’m craving something sweet.”
