Top 20 Black Marketers We Admire in 2023

It’s 2023 and Black marketers are still trailblazers in the creative industry. Marketing takes both creative and analytical skills so doing this job well is a challenge that not everyone can overcome. We’re so proud to share those Black marketers doing the work and making a great impact in the marketing world. Last year we shared 20 Black marketers we admired so we are so happy to provide our list of some top black marketers we admire in 2023.

Starting off this list is none other than Kellie Streat. Kellie is a marketer with over 20 years experience in marketing communications, digital marketing and account management. She  is currently the Digital Marketing and Sponsorships Director for UPS. Her work and contributions to marketing have landed her as Black Executive CMO Alliance’s (BECA) Future Leader. Kellie is a well rounded marketer who’s contributed so much to marketing and advertising BUT we are so excited to see what she will do in the future. 

Next is Maurice Cooper who has been a marketing leader for over ten years and has over 19 years in various B2C companies. After being the CMO of Target earlier this year he accepted the position of Chief Marketing Officer for Bath and Body Works! Maurice was recently awarded EBONY's 2022 Power 100 Corporate Citizen Award. From brand management to leading several household name brands, Maurice is a marketing role model we admire and appreciate for his leadership to the marketing area.

Tiffany Tooley is a product marketing leader with over 10 years experience in product marketing alone! She’s been in the marketing industry longer but most recently been working as the Head of Product Marketing at HubSpot. She’s an expert in understanding today’s buyers, leading teams that crafts the most compelling messages and is a data driven marketer. Tiffany has been successful in B2B Saas Technology, Education & Food/Beverage industries. She has insight and experience in product, partner, customer segment and industry marketing. Tiffany is not only a phenomenal marketer but she is an empowering leader that gets results while having fun.

It seems that since 2020, we have all seen a rise in content creators. With that we also see a demand in brand deals so we are very happy to share. We admire a marketer who works so hard in empowering creators and connecting them with the brand she works for daily.  Alanah Jospeh is currently the Head of Creator Partnerships at HubSpot. For several years now, Alanah has been working with creators in the podcast industry. Her passion for digital marketing and brand strategy and strong background in social media management, Alanah has established herself as an expert in creating impactful creator networks and communities. Her creative thinking and ability to connect with audiences are seen through the engaging content she produces. 

Darius McDougle has an expertise in digital marketing.. He’s an esteemed figure in the marketing area, earning our admiration through his vast expertise in design, branding and strategic sourcing just to name a few. The next Black marketer we admire is a rising star in the realm of entrepreneurship. Having founded Creative Juice in Atlanta, Octavia Gilmore is a marketing maven with a keen eye for brand development. With a background in graphic design, Gilmore brings a unique perspective to her strategic marketing approaches. She has an amazing ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences. Gilmore has an amazing talent for creating memorable brand experiences. 

This next Black marketer has captured our admiration because of his presence as a thought leader in digital marketing and content strategy. Juntae Delane exudes the charisma of a seasoned marketer.Delane has an expertise in digital marketing and content strategy.
